Creating Darth Tranquillity – Overview

A question which none of you have asked (and why wouldyou?) is how do I design these figures. How do I go from an idea to a finished minifigure? Well wonder no more, because I’m going to explain it over a series of articles. Eventually, we’re going to end up with another of my characters from The Old Republic MMO, Darth Tranquillity (who despite the name is edges toward the dark side).

The idea behind this show the creatively process that go into creating a minifigure figure; how I use Blender to model pieces (so basically how not model in Blender) and how I create textures for the face and body. Currently I see about three or four articles covering the whole process.

Currently, the figure isn’t finished yet, so nor are the articles, so this page is a bit dull. It should get updated with links to all the articles and pictures once she’s finished. The actual articles will have some work in progress pictures.
